Terms & Conditions

1. Who we are

ClickCompliance ("the Service") is operated by ClickDesign, Peter House, Oxford Street, Manchester M1 5AN (UK office: Peter House, Oxford Street, Manchester M1 5AN). Contact: mahmood@clickdesign.uk, +44 7377 753555.

2. The Service

The Service helps landlords and letting agents track energy-performance (MEES) and related compliance for rented homes in England & Wales: importing Energy Performance Certificate data from the official register, compliance status tracking, modelled improvement pathways, document storage, legionella risk-assessment records, reports, reminders, and an AI assistant.

3. Guidance, not professional advice

Everything the Service produces — compliance statuses, improvement pathways, reports, legionella assessments, reminder emails, and AI assistant answers — is general guidance to help you manage your obligations. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice, and it is not an Energy Performance Certificate or a formal energy assessment. Regulations change; data in the national register may be incomplete or out of date; modelled figures are estimates. You remain responsible for your legal obligations as a landlord, and should take professional advice for disputes, penalties, or edge cases.

4. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and only add properties you own or manage (or are authorised to manage). You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms or misuse the Service.

5. Acceptable use

You must not: use the Service to harvest or republish register data beyond its licensed purposes; upload unlawful or infringing content; attempt to access other users' data; probe, disrupt or overload the Service; or use the AI assistant for purposes unrelated to landlord compliance.

6. Third-party data and links

Energy certificate data is reproduced from the official register under the Open Government Licence v3.0; address data is © Crown copyright and database rights, Ordnance Survey and Royal Mail, used within its permitted purposes. Links to external sites (GOV.UK, Gas Safe Register, NICEIC, HSE and others) are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

7. Fees

The Service is currently free to start. Paid plans, and per-report charges for certain features (such as issued legionella assessment reports), may be introduced with reasonable notice; continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the applicable fees.

8. Availability and liability

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClickDesign Certification Limited is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, or penalties, fines or losses arising from reliance on the Service, missed deadlines, or errors in third-party data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Your content

You retain ownership of documents and data you upload. You grant us the licence needed to store and process them solely to provide the Service. We may delete your content when your account is closed (see the Privacy Policy for retention).

10. Changes and termination

We may update the Service and these terms; material changes will be notified in the portal or by email. You may close your account at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
